- Would you like some confidential support during a difficult time?
- Are experiences from the past affecting your well-being today?
- Do you have family and/or relationship difficulties?
- Are you having distressing feelings and thoughts?
Do you want to understand yourself more?
Counselling or therapy gives you time to explore personal difficulties or issues, through a confidential and professional relationship, with someone who is experienced and qualified.
At times these issues may seem impossible to work through on your own. You may feel overwhelmed or lost. Sometimes talking in confidence with a stranger at such times may be particularly useful. Counselling is to enable you to understand yourself better and so work towards change.
My Approach
As an integrative practitioner, I am able to draw on different ways of working specifically for you. Regular feedback from you helps this. So among other approaches, I work from:- Psychodynamic theory to explore your past which may impact you now
- Strategies and approaches from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to look at what you are doing today
- Humanistic theory to create a safe and reflective place for us to work together
I help my clients to deal with:
- anxiety and panic attacks
- abuse: emotional, physical and sexual
- bereavement: loss and grief
- chronic conditions e.g diabetes, epilepsy, ME, MS
- depression
- disability
- low self-esteem and low self-confidence
- questions about meaning and spirituality
- relationship issues
- separation and divorce
- stress
- trauma
- trust issues
- work related issues: bullying, stress, redundancy
